O empresário George Augusto Pereira tem negócios milionários com o deputado e seu partido. Só tem um detalhe: ele não existe

Passava de 8 horas da noite da segunda-feira, dia 29 de abril, quando o deputado Anthony Garotinho subiu à tribuna da Câmara bufando. Líder do Partido da República (PR), ele precisava dar explicações convincentes aos colegas deputados e, principalmente, a seus eleitores do Rio de Janeiro. Dois dias antes, ÉPOCA revelara um esquema de desvio de dinheiro público que envolve a família Garotinho e o PR no Rio. Na tribuna, Garotinho saiu em defesa de uma empresa que tem negócios com seu gabinete na Câmara, com a prefeitura de Campos dos Goytacazes, comandada por sua mulher, Rosinha Garotinho, e com seu partido. Trata-se da GAP Comércio e Serviços Especiais, uma locadora de veículos próxima à família Garotinho. A sigla GAP reproduz as iniciais de seu dono, o empresário George Augusto Pereira. Documentos obtidos por ÉPOCA – reproduzidos abaixo – mostram que George Augusto não existe no mundo das pessoas de carne e osso. Num universo em que tantos escândalos trazem à tona laranjas, Garotinho inovou ao colocar em cena um fantasma. Como tantos garotinhos, o deputado do Rio de Janeiro tem um amigo invisível.

A relação entre Garotinho e a GAP é antiga. Logo que tomou posse em 2011, ele alugou um carro da GAP, um Ford Fusion 2011, usando verba da Câmara. O automóvel estava destinado a seu uso pessoal em Brasília, durante o exercício da atividade parlamentar. Na mesma época, em junho de 2011, Wladimir Matheus, filho de Garotinho, destruiu contra um muro um Ford Fusion 2011, avaliado em R$ 80 mil. Era o mesmo carro alugado por Garotinho com dinheiro da Câmara? Segundo ele, não. Foi uma coincidência. Na ocasião, ÉPOCA procurou George Augusto por telefone. Em entrevista gravada, um homem que se apresentou como ele disse que emprestara o carro a Matheus e que nada cobraria do rapaz, por se tratar de “um amor de pessoa”. Afirmou ainda que o prejuízo com acidentes “fazia parte de seu negócio”. George Augusto parecia mesmo ser amigo da família, notadamente da prefeita Rosinha. A GAP tem um contrato milionário com a prefeitura de Campos para alugar ambulâncias ao município.

Nos papéis da Junta Comercial, George Augusto Pereira detém 99,8% das ações da GAP, cujo nome reproduz suas iniciais. As provas de que ele não existe são abundantes. ÉPOCA obteve cópia da carteira de identidade usada por George Augusto Pereira. O documento contém uma falsificação grosseira. De acordo com o Instituto de Identificação Félix Pacheco, o número do RG e a data de expedição da carteira não são de uma pessoa chamada George. Eles correspondem a uma mulher paraibana, de 48 anos de idade, moradora de um bairro pobre de São Gonçalo, região metropolitana do Rio. Entrevistada por ÉPOCA, Josefa Gomes dos Santos Carvalho disse que não entende como outra pessoa pôde usar seu RG, pois nunca perdera o documento. George Augusto Pereira não tem RG – e esse não é o único papel que lhe falta. George tem caminhonetes de luxo e multas de trânsito, mas não carteira de habilitação. No último dia 6 de maio, ele completou 42 anos de idade, mas nunca tirou título de eleitor.

Uma coisa na vida de George é assombrosamente real: o dinheiro que irriga as contas da GAP. Para abrir uma conta no banco, George precisava de um CPF – e um CPF foi tirado, a partir do documento de identidade falso. O mesmo CPF aparece na sua declaração de Imposto de Renda. ÉPOCA obteve o documento relativo ao exercício de 2011, que informa uma renda anual de apenas R$ 23 mil – e não lista nenhum bem patrimonial. Se existisse, George seria um sonegador. Os ativos de sua empresa somam R$ 5,5 milhões, a GAP já recebeu R$ 32 milhões da prefeitura de Campos e ainda tem um contrato de R$ 15 milhões em vigor com o município. Nada disso está declarado. Em agosto de 2011, o Ministério Público do Rio apontou uma fraude na contratação da GAP pela prefeitura, com favorecimento na licitação e pagamento de valores superfaturados.

Quando surgiram os documentos revelando que George não existia, ÉPOCA resgatou a gravação de uma entrevista concedida pelo empresário sobrenatural em junho de 2011. A ligação foi atendida, na ocasião, por uma secretária, que transferiu a chamada para um homem de voz rouca. Para esclarecer o mistério do telefonema de George, ÉPOCA pediu que o perito Ricardo Molina analisasse a voz da pessoa que telefonou fazendo se passar pelo dono da GAP. Havia outro áudio para uma comparação. No mês passado, ÉPOCA gravou uma entrevista por telefone com Fernando Trabach Gomes, que prestou serviço para a campanha do partido de Garotinho em 2010. Durante a conversa, Trabach se identificou como diretor comercial da rede Metta Postos, fornecedora de combustível para a campanha do PR. De cara, chamou a atenção que a secretária de Trabach era a mesma que anotara o recado para George em 2011.
