Oração a Nossa Senhora de Nazaré...

Ó Virgem Imaculada de Nazaré,
fostes na terra criatura tão humilde
a ponto de dizer ao Anjo Gabriel:
"Eis aqui a escrava do Senhor!"
Mas por Deus fostes exaltada
e preferida entre todas as mulheres
para exercer a sublime missão
de Mãe do Verbo Encarnado.
Adoro e louvo o Altíssimo
que vos elevou a esta excelsa dignidade
e vos preservou da culpa original.
Quanto a mim,
soberbo e carregado de pecados,
sinto-me confundido
e envergonhado perante vós.
Entretanto, confiado na bondade
e ternura do vosso coração imaculado e maternal,
peço-vos a força de imitar
a vossa humildade
e participar da vossa caridade
a fim de viver unido, pela graça,
ao vosso divino Filho, Jesus,
assim como vós vivestes no retiro de Nazaré.
Para alcançar essa graça,
quero com imenso afecto e
filial devoção saudar-vos
como o Arcanjo São Gabriel:
"Ave Maria, cheia de graça..."
Nossa Senhora de Nazaré,
rogai por nós.

Prayer to Our Lady of Nazareth ...

O Immaculate Virgin of Nazareth,
you were so humble creature on earth
about to say to the Angel Gabriel:
"Behold the handmaid of the Lord!"
But ye are exalted by God
and preferred among all women
to exercise the sublime mission
Mother of the Incarnate Word.
Love and praise the Almighty
that you raised this sublime dignity
and hath preserved from original sin.
As for me,
superb and full of sins,
I feel confused
and ashamed before you.
However, trusting in the goodness
and tenderness of your maternal and Immaculate Heart,
I ask you the strength to imitate
your humility
and participate in your charity
in order to live united by grace
to Thy Divine Son, Jesus,
as you retreat you lived in Nazareth.
To achieve this grace,
want with great affection and
filial devotion greet you
as the Archangel Gabriel:
"Hail Mary, full of grace ..."
